Types of laser surgery for refractory

present as refractory to surgery, there are two types of lasers. On the one hand we have the PRK, Lasek and the Epilasik, which are used for what are called surface techniques, ie, have their application in people who have very few diopters, with a thickness of dioptric very low or dry eye. In the intervention is not done any type of cut, only applies to a laser on the hood of the outer cornea.

other hand we have the technique of Lasik, which is the best known and the most convenient. With this technique, an incision is made and is applied after the excimer laser, which is the laser that will correct the diopter. Lasik can also be achieved with microcherato, which is a system that has a small knife, with which you cut a small strip of the cornea. There is the possibility of using the laser femtoseconds, more modern and secure, because it allows the surgeon can control the thickness of the lamina of the patient with much more precision. The latter possibility seems to be ideal for the patient, simplifying the process of recording Lasik and reducing much of the postoperative discomfort. It is also not necessary for the patient bed as changes happen to the microkeratome and above can operate both eyes in the same action.
